If you are coming to Australia for any reason, do expect to have a great time in a nice country, but DO NOT expect great service from too many places.
I ahd to get on here and have this rant sad to say. It was either that or slap someone.
The Novotel, which is meant to be a 4 Star Hotel, has done nothing but disappoint. The House Keeping must have an inherrent need to waste water as they do not understand our request to not service our room. We do not require new towels and sheets every day. I see this as a waste, but telling them this had not put them off calling us every day and leaving us notes. Bastards.
The girl that greeted us (if you could call it that), at the hotel resturant clearly did not want to serve us as she rolled her eyes at us when we approached. The kitchen was half an hour away from close, perhaps we were holding her up. We pay her wages, so fuck off.
Pre paid pin card internet access here in the hotel. It took 5 cards to get it right, then they balmed their ISP. Again fuck off.
And the people in the hospo side of things, all I can say is gggrrrrrrrrrrr.
HOWEVER, full credit to the place where I had a massge and a facial. Absolutely top service, lady was newly here from Korea. So if they are not actually from Aussie, and they are in service/hospo somehow, they are most likely ok. But locals.....FUCKING RUDE!!!!!!!!!!!
